Coil Formula
On Tube Patterns the first number is the tube spacing center to center.
The 2nd number is center to center on the coil depth.
Example:
- A 3/8″ OD tube coil, utilizing the 1″ x .866″ pattern, 10 tubes high by 4 rows deep would have dimensions of 10 x 1″ = 10″, 4 x .866″ = 3.464″, so the fin would be 10″ high by 3.464″ deep.
- If the coil was 1/2″ OD tube (which is a 1.25″ x 1.08″ pattern) had 10 tubes high and was 4 rows deep, it would have fin dimensions of 12.5″ height and 4.32″ deep.
The same formula would apply to all tube patterns
